Meet the residents
- Art Room Brighton Art classes, holiday clubs and tuition, as featured in the Sunday Times, no less ~ husband and wife duo Sebastian Dewing and Alison Horton-Dewing
- Donal Hutchinson, an architect who runs Hutchinson Design Associates
- Fiona Tasker Dru Yoga practitioner and teacher
- Frameworks4change – Andy Bradley runs this training firm that builds communities with marginalised people
- Fuel (The Young Parent’s Project) Charity and social enterprise providing nutritional classes for the city’s mums and dads under 25. Fuel recently won Department of Health funding to build a catering-class kitchen in the building ~ Nina Ross and her growing team

- Clare Holmes – massage therapist.
- Howard Overman Writer and scriptwriter. Howard’s TV work includes Merlin, Hotel Babylon and Hustle for the BBC. His channel 4 series Misfits won a Bafta in June 2010 for best drama series. But we spotted that on the C4 website – Howard is far too modest to tell you himself.
- Kath Burke Copywriter, journalist, writing for the web trainer. Kath looks after the deskspace and she runs creative writing group Just Write.
- Kat Neeser, sewing and pattern cutting classes, and she organises BScene – the network for social entrepreneurs. she runs a monthly book-keeping club here
- Kiya Survivors Peruvian charity educational and rehabilitation centres for children with special needs, abused and abandoned children. Suzy Butler, Pip Emmott, Sarah Marriott, Nigel Pedlingham, Coco Fileti, Vicky Hupboard
- Maggie Tran, community artist and she sells advertising space for an arts magazine
- Melanie Bowles, works on policy for the Community Development Foundation
- Simon Scott runs two social enterprises: one regenerates properties, trains people, and houses creative industry workers. The second trains people in entrepreneurship skills through comedy improvisation, based an academic research. Simon is also a volleyball nut.
- To Baby and Beyond - Julie Cleasby runs courses including hypnobirthing, baby massage, paediatric first aid, first aid at work, and parenting skills.
- Turnfront - social web agency led by Chris Anderson. Chris’s team includes designer Dan Marksteiner and developer Andrew Rumble. Chris is WestWerks’ chief key holder, show-er round, and buyer of lightbulbs. He loves his allotment – and he’s got designs on our garden.
